World Water Day
World Water Day 2020 is about water and climate change – and how the two are inextricably linked.
Our country is vulnerable to climate change.
Adapting to the water effects
of climate change will protect health and save lives.
Using water more efficiently
will reduce greenhouse gases.
We cannot afford to wait. Everyone
has a role to play. The theme for World Water Day 2020 – Water and Climate
Change – has been conscientiously chosen to timely reflect the impact of
climate change on water resources and how the two are inextricably linked.
Water availability has become
less predictable over the past decade due to global warming. In some regions,
droughts are exacerbating water scarcity, thereby affecting people and
industrial productivity.

A global crisis ...
As we face a global crisis together, let’s find positive ways to look after ourselves and each other.
Here are 3 positive steps we can all take when facing difficult times:
There are lots of things outside our control. Let’s remember to breathe and focus on what really matters so we can respond constructively.
Making wise choices helps everyone. Let’s choose positive actions that support our well being and help others to do the same.
We’re all in this together, even when we’re forced apart. Let’s stay connected and reach out to help others who may be in need.
